Cookie Policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit. They allow the site to "remember" certain actions — such as items in your cart or your login state — between pages and visits.

2. What cookies we use

The ergi.bg site uses only strictly necessary (essential) cookies required for the basic functions of the online store: cart, checkout, user account, language preference and form security.

We do not use:

  • marketing cookies (Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads);
  • third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics);
  • retargeting / advertising trackers;
  • chat widgets (Intercom, Tawk.to, etc.).

For web analytics we use self-hosted Matomo in cookieless mode with anonymised IP addresses. This mode does not require your consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.

3. Why there is no cookie consent banner

Since all our cookies fall under the "strictly necessary" exemption of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), ergi.bg is not required to display a cookie consent banner. No consent is collected for non-essential cookies because no such cookies are used.

5. Matomo (cookieless)

For traffic analytics we use a self-hosted Matomo instance in:

  • cookieless tracking mode;
  • anonymised IP addresses (last octets stripped);
  • respecting the browser's Do Not Track signal;
  • no data sharing with third parties.

6. How to manage cookies

You can delete or block cookies via your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will break functionality such as cart and checkout.

Instructions for major browsers:

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add functionality or change tools. If we add third-party marketing or analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and introduce a cookie consent banner before they are activated.
